Contemporary reinterpretation of an original classic outboard
cruiser by Phil Bolger designer designed by the Arch
Luigi Innamorati, owner and manager of Andaman Boatyard and the
Italian yacht designer Umberto Petricich of www.3dwmoulds.com.

The idea was design an easy to build, cheap, classic
looking, semi-displacement commuter day boat style. Easy to
build utilizing all laser cut parts but also built out of
classic Sparkman-Stephens Escort look.
Offshore capable
thanks to her size, wide flare, good sized skeg and possibility
of use an economic outboard or a small inboard diesel.
So the cold mould epoxy method using all laser cut CAD developed
parts was our choice to building this interesting design.
All her hull lines result in a well balanced and harmonized
silhouette and the boat perform very well in a wide range of
speeds from economical displacement speed (around d7 mph) to
semi-planing at 20 mph with the 50 HP outboard engine option.
Moderate stern volume and fine entry combined with a
good size skeg keep it on track in bad weather condition.
The fine reversed and well immersed bow will reduce pounding
and the generous flare in the topsides not only looks good but
add reserve buoyancy.

The hull submerged shape it is designed by Umberto Petricich
using modern 3D CAD software and the deck and cockpit shape are
harmonized using more contemporary equipments, windscreen and
openings and a better cockpit organization and layout and
switching the hull bow to a reverse shape and the stern to a
classic leaning line by Arch Luigi Innamorati.
The plan
was developed for a custom built structure using wood composite
cold mould epoxy method but a future production will be in light
composite sandwich fiberglass.
The boat concept it is based
on the use of a economic and trustworthy four stroke outboard
propulsor concealed ion transom by two removable hatches This
allow the boat to run economically with just 50-hp and
generating very small wake at any speed.
But another
version with stern drive or jet drive inboard propulsions is
under development as well as another cockpit open layout
suitable for use on canal in The Netherlands or on sea under
coast day cruising.
The final result is a beautiful
day boat or a small fast commuter.
Modifications from
the original Phil Bolger design are also regarding the adoption
of a modern self-bailing cockpit and a nice U shaped ample sofa
with retractable table that can be transformed on a sun-bed.
Large and ample storage under seats and a 80 lt fuel tank and
fresh water tank.
The internal layout include a toilet
with manual WC and ample and long berth for two adults.
