This is our modern and reliable interpretation of the classic
DaySailer.
Built with modern materials and contemporary
solution on deck and equipments but still keeping a classic look
with teak wood functional inserts like the continuous handle
fixed on coaming.
The hull keep the classic lap strake
construction shape to give stiffness to the fiberglass laminate
that result in a very light weight and strong shell. Unlike
many smaller sailboats, sailing her there is not the least bit
“tippy”.

We had sailed her out in some very stiff breezes and installed a
large gennaker and, with a steady hand on the rudder and
mainsheet, have been able to get her easily up past 7.5 knots.
The rudder is from US company IDASAILOR and it is of an High
performance true NACA airfoil blade section, with 316 stainless
hardware and rudder head, solid HDPE plastic abrasion resistance
blade. Rudder blade is held down with an intelligent solution
with a 316 gas strut system, with one dynema (line to raise the
rudder to 180 degrees for easy beaching. RIG it is from Nenuphar
France in hollow aluminum mast and boom profile and sails are
from Neil Pride China based sail maker, our sail supply. There
are no need of winches, and the jib sheets are run through
fairleads and held by cam cleats.

The hull is very solid build using
interlaminate with coremat bulk mats on center of the frp skin,
it is enough thick and more than able to take the kind of abuse
anyone can dish out; smashing into docks, running too shallow up
a concrete boat launch, etc. We have never noted more than
surface scratches using tand testing this boat in a very hard
way.
The centerboard uses a lanyard system through the
top of the centerboard trunk.
The board kicks up when
you hit shallows, and with it pulled fully up into the trunk you
can beach her. Boat it is fined completed with strip teak-rubber
on deck, cockpit and seats, all 316 stainless steel hardware,
Lewmar deck hardware, a small Ronstan jib furler and very
detailed world-class laminated mahogany and white ash tiller and
bowsprit.
General specs: LOA: 15' 9" LWL: 14' 4" Draft:
2' 13" Sail Area: 147 sqft + Gennaker.
